Mark Erickson, General Manager
Mark has over 27 years in the construction industry starting from the ground up as a craftsperson and achieving his engineering degree over 20 years ago. As General Manager, he is responsible for continuously improving our company and the value to our customers by providing leadership, planning, organization, coordination, and direction for all construction related activities. He is constantly striving to exceed the expectations of our customers and enhance the safety, opportunity and quality life of our employees. Mark works constructively with owners and engineers to understand each stakeholder's objectives and focus Superior's team to successfully meet the combined objectives. He is experienced in design-build projects and the challenges of effectively managing costs, schedule and design elements in a changing environment.
John McCarthy, Construction Manager
Dan Paris, Sr. Project Manager
Dan has 25 years of extensive management experience in mechanical construction. He has been involved in design-build contracts and construction services from the beginning of his career and is proficient in assisting in project concept development on many projects. He has an inherent ability to sort out the value and benefit of decisions to clearly weight them against the costs. Dan's career has allowed him to participate in many different types of projects, which has allowed him to influence project schedule and costs in positive ways. He has established a reputation for completing difficult projects on-time and under budget. Dan is committed to staying on budget, developing realistic schedules, performing work in a safe manner and producing a quality product.
Rick Goss, Sr. Project Manager
Rick has over 30+ years in mechanical construction and has worked at every level in the mechanical trades. He is currently the Project Manager for the largest project Superior Plumbing & Heating has ever undertaken, the Goose Creek Correctional Center. Prior to that, Rick mobilized and managed a very large crew on the Mat-Su Regional Medical Center project. The crew included the necessary job office staff to accommodate purchasing, office management, prefabrication, scheduling, submittal processing and shop drawing demands on site. The entire mechanical contract was delivered in the original 18 month time frame estimated and was completed under budget. Rick also was the Project Manager for the highly successful Alaska Sealife Center in Seward, Alaska.
Randy Rexwinkle, Sr. Mechanical Engineer Mgr./Project Mgr.
Randy has 32 years of management experience in mechanical engineering and construction on projects located in Oklahoma, Colorado, and Alaska. He has been involved in Design/Build contracts and pre-construction services from the beginning of his career and is proficient in assisting in project concept development on projects. His experience from both the engineering side as well as the contractor side allows him to sort out the value and benefit of decisions to clearly weigh them against the costs without compromising the engineering on the project. Randy's experience working in both the engineering and construction fields has allowed him to develop a unique knowledge for building mechanical systems in how they are planned, how they are constructed and how they are supposed to perform.
Bari Gray, Superintendent
Bari has over 16 years of experience in commercial plumbing. As Field Operations Manager, Bari focuses his team on maintaining relationships with core clients and surpassing their expectations by building specialized, technical and fast turn around projects in all types of facilities. Bari is on the front lines every day managing the activities of field employees in coordination with site supervisors taking care of our client's needs and getting the job done. He is also a Safety Coordinator for the Company's Safety Program. His leadership, problem solving skills and calm demeanor have proven to be an invaluable addition to our team. He is a member of the UA Local 367 and is currently a member of the JATC for the labor side of the Local. He is a member of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) which helps him keep up with ever changing trends in our industry.
Geoff Crouse, Project Engineer/Asst. Project Mgr.
Geoff has over 10 years of residential construction experience and has a wide range of knowledge in General Construction. To date he has worked on (4) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects on Ft. Richardson and Elmendorf, Battalion Complex, F-22 Corrosion Control Phase II, F-22 Squad Ops, and Aeromedical ELM306 Services. Geoff is also currently working on Construction Management degree from UAA.
Mike Klebs, Pre-Construction Manager
Mike Klebs brings his 20 years of construction and mechanical industry experience to Superior Plumbing & Heating and The Superior Group, incorporating vast experience in GMP, design-build, and design-bid-build projects for clients ranging from the U S Army Corps of Engineers, Federal, and State agencies, to private companies such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Chugach Alaska Corporation, and BP, Mike has the experience and skills to ensure complete client satisfaction. Voted in 2007 as one of Alaska's top 40 under 40 top professionals by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, Mike has direct knowledge, past experience, and is well versed in current technologies in sheet metal, HVAC, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems. You can count on Mike to provide your facility with the latest systems and solutions ideas to accomplish your project goals.
Jason Fernandes, Shop Foreman
As the Shop Foreman for Superior Plumbing & Heating, Jason is responsible for the fabrication of plumbing and other piping for various construction sites. Jason coordinates with our field foremen and engineers as well as manages the fabrication shop; keeping all consumables and materials stocked. Jason also assists with some of the installation on the fabrication. Jason went through his apprenticeship at Local 367 and has worked for Superior for the fifteen years in various capacities. Jason leads by example and is an asset to our team.
Bo Beasley, Estimator
Bo has over 30 years experience in the industry he has worked in numerous facets of the industry from wholesale to construction. He started with Superior over 12 years ago as a purchasing agent and has worked his way up to an estimator. He handles project estimates, takeoffs, and submittal and O&M preparation. In addition, his strong relations with vendors allow him to consistently get the best possible price when purchasing equipment for the projects. Bo is an integral part of the Superior team.
Nick Mendez, Purchasing Agent
Nick has 11 years experience in material handling, including 4+ years in the industry and has been with SPH for 3+ years. He makes sure that project materials get to the right place on-time and accurately. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of expediting, receiving and yard operations and determines the best method of procurement. Nick is responsible for ensuring that expediting staff make good use of company time, while maintaining good morale. Nick is an integral part of the Superior Team.
Andy Boedefeld, Assistant Project Manager
Andy has worked for Superior for over 6 years and has worked in several capacities from purchasing to project management. His background is very diverse with experience in many parts of our business including estimating, purchasing, tool management and deliveries and project management. Andy has a great eye for detail, which has proved invaluable in his various roles. His upbeat attitude and willingness to learn and try new things makes him a great asset to the Superior team!
Helen Kaye, Project Engineer
Helen has over 17 years of commercial and residential construction, permitting and code compliance experience, she has a wide range of knowledge in construction and an AAS Degree in Business from University of Alaska, Anchorage. To date she has worked on (2) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers projects The Missile Silo's in Ft. Greely (w/the GC) and FTR 191 Residential Housing Project on Elmendorf, Matsu Regional Medical Center (w/the GC,) Kilbuck School, Anchorage Museum, F Street, JL Towers, Bethel ME School, Airport Operations, Dutch Harbor Marine Terminal, Goodnews Bay, Wake Island Generator and Goose Creek Correction Center.
Cody Moore, Project Engineer
Cody has over 6 years of commercial design experience and has a wide range of knowledge in mechanical design. To date he has worked on Goose Creek Correctional Center, Centerpoint West Office building, MOB III. He has also done design work for several schools in Alaska as well as office buildings, hotels, churches and remodels.
Richard Ross, Purchasing Agent
Richard has over 16 years experience in the commercial and industrial plumbing industry gaining valuable knowledge about material procurement, shipping and pricing structures. All of our many vendors have come to know Richard and provide him with special service so we can provide our installers with that same service.
Tami Foster, Project Coordinator
Tami recently joined Superior with over 22 years of office administration experience. Her duties as Project Coordinator include support of project managers by ensuring adherence of day-to-day deadlines, flow of project correspondence, analyzing job explicit reports, running and reviewing committed cost and hours to complete reports, requesting subcontractor information, supplying field foreman with site safety inspections and tracking outgoing proposals.
